Associative spirit, cooperation, knowledge, ethics, and integrity.

These are ABTCP's values. Over the decades of its existence, these values have been the pillars on which ABTCP has built its beautiful history.

Its commitment, engagement and collaboration with the national and international paper market should be duly highlighted and recognized.

Valuable contribution to the sector

Founded in 1967, ABTCP - the Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association - is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the technological development of the pulp and paper production chain, in a sustainable and innovative way, through technical training, information and networking.

It is an organization committed to the technical development of professionals in the forest-based sector's production chain and to improve the competitiveness of companies operating in this segment. It is one of the world's most respected technical institutions in its field, and has been awarded the title of OSCIP - Civil Society Organization of Public Interest - for the value it generates in high-level training and information for the market.

A publisher of books and periodicals, ABTCP also maintains partnerships with research institutes and universities that are references in specialized training and information and is at the forefront of technical definitions that are essential to the forest-based sector, such as revisions to NR12 and NR13; the Better Brazil Program; Sector Standardization; and the National Solid Waste (PNRS) and Water Resources (PNRH) Policies, among other important issues for an industry that is developing year after year in Brazil. It encourages permanent debates on solutions to improve production processes, through the work of its Technical Committees, and trains more than a thousand professionals every year, promoting technical exchange and relationships between companies and professionals. Its aim, based on operational excellence and Human Resources, is to promote sustainability with innovation.

It can therefore be said that ABTCP has become fundamental to the competitiveness of the pulp and paper sector in Brazil and a benchmark Technical Association on the world stage.

HERGEN and ABTCP - a long-standing partnership

Since 1995, HERGEN has participated in ABTCP and the International Exhibition organized by the entity. Over all these years, HERGEN, as an ABTCP member, has seen up close how valuable its contribution is to the development of the sector, generating innovation, training, relationships, business opportunities, visibility, and information.

The market still has a lot to learn from the actions of ABTCP, an institution that manages to continually reinvent itself, adapting to the constant changes in the world market.

HERGEN continues to work with ABTCP, believing in the strength of this increasingly relevant and indispensable segment.

For HERGEN, it is an honor to be part of ABTCP's memorable history.
